Sandboard wax is a specialized wax used to enhance the performance of sandboards, which are similar to snowboards but designed for use on sand dunes. Many waxes, including those used for sports equipment, may contain synthetic compounds that make recycling more challenging.
The need for recycling sandboard wax is primarily related to environmental sustainability. By recycling, we reduce the demand for new raw materials, minimize energy consumption, and decrease the amount of waste that ends up on the dunes. By practicing this simple Leave No Trace Principal, to take only pictures and to leave only footprints we can preserve the dunes unique beauty for many generations to come.

prIcing & policies
Our Sandsport daily equipment rental rate is $20.00 per sandboard/sand sled, per day plus tax. We offer the freshest inventory of Sandboards and Sandsleds for all level of riders for your adventure to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. We are conveniently located right on Highway 160, in the heart of Blanca, only 5 miles from the turn to the Park.
Enjoy the sand, sun and fun during your visit!
We offer daily and multi-day rentals of sandboards and sand sleds. We offer instruction on how to ride and how to have the maximum fun! Our day starts at 8am and we close at 6pm.
We DO take reservations, so don't forget to book before you go to ensure your equipment is available for your adventure.
We DO have an after hours drop off available. Ask for more information when booking.
